BAHS Board Member Percy Affleck wins Volunteer of the Year Award

​Percy Affleck of Lower Bedeque (on left) being presented the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Prince Edward Island Museum and Heritage Foundation by His Honour Lieutenant Governor, Dr. Wassim Salamoun on March 22. The citation notes that the award was given to Percy for “his leadership, passion and dedication in preserving and sharing the history of the Bedeque area in Prince Edward Island”. Percy was a founder member of the Bedeque Area Historical Society in 2010 and since then he has contributed to the creation of the structural aspects of many of the Bedeque Museum’s displays.  He also has had a passion for local and family history throughout most of his life.
